Documentation for WAITASEC.COM
WAITASEC was published in PC Magazine and was written by
Charles Petzold.
WAITASEC uses the Scroll Lock key to stop screen
scolling. Simply hold the Scroll Lock key down to stop
the scroll and release it to resume. Much more
convenient then the Ctrl-NumLock combination. Also,
WAITASEC will recall text that has already scrolled off
the top of your screen - up to 375 80-column lines.
To recall text hold the Scroll Lock key down and use the
cursor pad keys. The up/down arrow keys move text one
line at a time. The PgUp, PgDn, Home and End keys do
just what you would expect - scroll through your text
one page at a time and go to the top or bottom of the
text buffer.
This file is in my autoexec.bat file. I have been using
it for about 3 months now and don't know what I would do
without it. It sure saves a lot a duplicate commands to
see something that scrolled off the screen while I was
checking to see what the dog was destroying this time.
